Anyone, from any country and with any training background, who is interested in learning more about lower limb health can take this course! Note: If you are a Canadian nurse looking to become a foot care nurse, this is NOT the course for you. You must take the Foot Care Nurse Theory Course as a prerequisite to your Clinical Training (this course will not count).
This course is designed to be completed at your own pace. There are no live components (webinars, group activities, etc).
Students are expected to purchase the following textbook prior to the course start date: Art & Science of Foot Care: A Clinical Resource for Nurses in Canada (3rd Edition-2024) - by Cindy Lazenby RN.
This course was designed to be completed in approximately 110 hours. Students will have 52 weeks to complete the course, after which time their access to the online content will be discontinued.

I don't recall anybody taught me specifically by the number of days it takes for wounds to heal. I was slow at the beggining but gradually getting the pace. There are surprising number of foot care related jobs in Canada. Those jobs are good examples to introduce foot care to Japanese people how important it is.
